Dear neighbors,


At the beginning of each year, the Council turns its attention to evaluating District government agency performance and preparing a budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

As you know, building a health care system that serves residents with unmet needs is one of the many priorities voiced by the Ward 7 community. Also of great importance is public safety, education, economic development, amenities, public transportation and infrastructure improvements.

I want to hear from you on how we should prioritize spending. Your suggestions can be formal or informal. You don't need to be a policy expert. Please let me know what's on your mind. Email your FY2025 budget ideas to Ward7Budget@dccouncil.gov by the close of business on Monday, January 22nd.
